Today is November 1st, and what do we see? A dozen emails with Thanksgiving recipes staring at us. That’s all well and good, and we do enjoy looking at recipes and dreaming of the perfect Thanksgiving table. However, every day is NOT Thanksgiving, and we’ve got about three weeks of everyday meals we need to cook in the meantime. That’s why we’ve decided to start a new blog series, What’s for Dinner Tonight?
In the coming weeks, we’ll share everyday menu ideas for quickly putting together a nutritious and delicious meal for those days that are not Thanksgiving–or anything special. We’ll combine that concept with tips for planning your weekly or monthly meals so you can avoid daily trips to the grocery store that take up too much of your valuable time.
As a reminder, we already have some great tools on this website to help you out, and Rebecca will be posting some videos to teach you how to use them. In the meantime, here’s a quick way to get started.
- Register and create an account. We do not share your information or harass you with additional emails when you do. Your account is private (read our privacy policy).
- Once you’ve registered, you can log in and save your favorite recipes by clicking on the heart symbol in the right corner of the recipe. While you’re at it, please rate the recipe by clicking on the stars.
You’ll end up with a list of your favorites by going to Start Planning –> My Favorite Recipes.
Many recipes include serving suggestions, with ideas on foods to pair with it, like this one. The items highlighted in green link to a recipe.
Familiarize yourself with these tools for now. Our next post will include information about using the meal planning and shopping features on our website.
