One of the many things taking place during the holidays is the infamous holiday cookie exchange. Thankfully, we love our cookies here at the Finite Foodie. We have outlined your guide to the perfect holiday cookie exchange.
It’s up to you if you would like to make a variety of cookies or just make a big batch of one specific cookie. We like to make three or four types, but if you are strapped for time, making one batch is perfectly acceptable. If you choose to make a variety, start with the simplest cookie and work your way up. For example, if you are making a sugar cookie and a chocolate chip cookie, start with the sugar cookie. That way you can more easily move onto the next cookie without having to scrub your mixing bowl.
Without further ado, here are our favorite cookies for your next cookie exchange: (Don’t forget to make a little extra as a treat for yourself!)
Gingerbread men are a holiday classic! They are a staple in our home and we hope you enjoy them as well. Don’t forget to try out lots of different shapes as well. (You might even want to make your own shapes!)
If you love cookies but need a gluten-free option, try these. The only problem is how quickly they disappear!
Pumpkin cookies are great. Chocolate chip cookies are great. So we combined them to create a healthful and tasty cookie option.
Oatmeal cookies have a special place in the hearts of our family members. These oatmeal cookies take a healthier approach to a classic family recipe.
No cookie exchange is complete without this classic! (Just be sure to ask if anyone has an allergy to peanuts before you bring them to work.)
These are a classic and are the one recipe Bobbi (Mom) saved from her “My First Cookbook”. We’ve updated it some but the novelty is still there and we know you will love them too.
Although these are not cookies, St. Nicholas cake can be cut into squares and included in your exchange, too.
We hope you will enjoy these cookies as much as we do. Happy baking!
